• WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

  Anyone that feels they need the confidence, empowerment, or practical concepts that our self-defence provides to deal or manage conflict or physical situations from the streets, work or environmental hazards faced today.

  • The age limit is anyone over 14 years of age (as this is a qualification course)
  • You must be reasonably fit to participate in the practical sessions.
  • You will need to complete the home study elearning modules before you attend the 2-day practical workshop
• WHAT QUALIFICATION DO I GET?

  Successful candidates will receive an Qualification Network United Kingdom (QNUK) regulated qualification (RQF) at Level 2 entitled “Self Defence”, so as well as developing your survivability on the street we create an academic portfolio. Also, you will recieve the Level 2 RAID Self Defence Qualification from the BMABA. (This is not an instructors qualifications)

• WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  To recognise various aspects of street defence and to understand different conflict management and self-defence methods, concepts, and tactics to effectively manage and resolve conflict situations and if needed breakaway from confrontational situations.

  At the end of this course learners will be able to:

  • Learn the STOP emergency directive to effectively assess threats and reduce risk during conflict.
  • State the legal implications within conflict situations.
  • State how the body reacts in conflict situations.
  • Learn the SAFER approach to personal security.
  • Understand the legal implications of their actions.
  • Apply the correct and safest physical concepts to defend against minimum force, grabs, holds etc.
  • Apply the correct and safest physical concepts to defend yourself during a reasonable force attacks such as sexual or physical attacks.
  • Apply the correct and safest physical concepts to defend yourself during a force continuum attacks such as knife or edged weapons.
  • Carry out dynamic threat assessment and identify the quickest possible escape route to minimize confrontation.
• MINIMUM NUMBER AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  Please Note: that we have minimum number of students policy, which means if we do not have 4 or more students booked onto a course we may have to cancel the course and refund you your course fee. Also, if you are booking accomodation then please  ensure you have a the ability to make a cancelation and reclaim your accommodation fees, as CTR Secure Services cannot be held accountable for any loss.
